This is one of the earliest Disney Production Backgrounds known to exist.
"Hot dogs! Hot dogs!" were the very first words Mickey Mouse said on the silver screen and they were said in this Short. This is an original hand-painted original black-and-white production background, with a hand-inked and hand-painted museum presentation cel.
This wonderful setup was proudly displayed in the exhibit "Walt Disney: The Man and His Magic" in 2001 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum for the Celebration of Walt's 100th Birthday.
You can find this original production background in the scene at the 2:09 mark in online viewings; the cat with the top hat is the Kat Nipp carnival barker introducing "shimmy dancer" Minnie Mouse.
This short was directed by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks and released on 7/31/1929.
Comes with Wonderful World of Animation Gallery Certificate of Authenticity, which acts as a Lifetime Guarantee.
