This iconic, key scene in the "Sorcerer's Apprentice" segment of Fantasia plays out in this group of five matted thumbnail sketches. In them, Mickey's magic has the multiplied brooms bringing water so fast that the room is flooding and Mickey can't bail it all out; a whirlpool then forms, sucking poor Mickey down. Executed in color pencils on paper, these small yet dynamic drawings fully capture the drama, right down to the last one, with Mickey's hand sticking up out of the swirling water.
The frame measures 17.5" x 15.25". Each of the smaller boards measure 2" x 2.5" while the 'double' board in the center measures 2" x 5.25"
Art paper shows some very minor toning, with a few panels starting to lift up. Other than that, the art is in Fine condition. From The Forbes Collection.
Comes with Wonderful World of Animation Gallery Certificate of Authenticity, which acts as a Lifetime Guarantee.
