The artwork measures 10.5" x 13.25"
This early concept piece takes us underwater to display the devastating power of Monstro as his tail wrecks the improvised raft and drags Pinocchio (showing his donkey ears), Geppetto, Figaro, and Cleo to the depths of the ocean, shaping the events that we see starting at the 1:22:26 mark in the film.
This stupendous concept art piece was published on page 202 in Pierre Lambert's Pinocchio.
This is an astonishing early concept art piece created by one of Pinocchio's art directors Dick Kelsey (1905 - 1987)
Kelsey signed the bottom right corner of this piece, and the back of the board bears a production stamp that reads "This Material From Prod. F3 Seq. No. 11 Unit E" and is inscribed in pencil underneath "2-10-38".
There is slight wear and faint tearing toward the left edge on the surface only, as the artwork appears to be affixed to the backing paper but overall this is in very good condition.
Comes with Wonderful World of Animation Gallery Certificate of Authenticity, which acts as a Lifetime Guarantee.
