The Band Concert remains as one of the most important Mickey Mouse films as it was Mickey Mouse's first color cartoon, and considered one of his greatest hits. Directed by Wilfred Jackson, it was released on 2/23/35. This is a hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Clarabelle Cow playing her flute. From about 7:45 into the short, when the tornado lifts the band up into the air, she is dropped into a baby carriage in a tree and continues to perform on her flute. The bird nest has not yet landed on her head! Clarabelle is 6" long and placed on a custom hand-painted background made for presentation purposes.
The cel is slightly wavy, which is common for artwork of this vintage
Comes with Wonderful World of Animation Gallery Certificate of Authenticity, which acts as a Lifetime Guarantee.
