The Tell-Tale Heart (1953)
Original Key Master Set-up of a man
In 1994, animation historian Jerry Beck surveyed 1000 people working in the animation industry and published the results in The 50 Greatest Cartoons: As Selected by 1,000 Animation Professionals, in which The Tell-Tale Heart ranked #24
This striking master set up comes from the controversial 1953 short, Tell Tale Heart. This was the first cartoon to be rated X, indicating it was suitable only for adult audiences, by the British Board of Film Censors.
The aperture measures 7.75" x 10.5
As somewhat visible in the web image, there is a pin hole through the cel and background above the character's right hand. Matte exhibits wear along the edges.
