Toby Tortoise Returns - 1936
Disney Studios
The hare appears at 5:11 minutes, while the bird appears at 5:12 minutes. The background appears from 5:06 - 5:12 minutes.
This amazing piece was actually found inside a puzzle box! This is the first time this piece has been released to the collector's market.
The size of this piece is 12 Field (11"x13")

The cel has become slightly wavy which is common for production material of this kind. Please note the light reflection visible in the web image is not on the piece itself. There is some paint loss in the Hare's shirt, with some lifting and paint separation, as well as some slight paint loss in the Hare's left foot. There is some slight line wear in the ropes, the Hare's toes, his teeth, his ears, his gloves, and the bird's face. There are five rusted staples along the upper edge, securing the cels and the background together, which could be easily matted out. There are three staples along the left edge of the background, and one in the lower right corner, which could also be matted out. There are two small cards stapled to the left side of the background, with production information written on them. The edges of the background and the cards show evidence of some mild handling, with some discoloration around the edges which could be easily matted out. There is a tiny spot of cel loss of about 1cm through the cels along the lower edge, which could be easily matted out. There is evidence of some mottling in the bird's jacket, along his back. There is some slight paint loss in the bottom of the bird's bowtie, with some traces of residual green paint along his sleeve. There is evidence of tiny flecks of stray paint throughout the piece. There is evidence of a small section of tape adhered to the lower right corner of the background, which could be easily matted out.
