The Grasshopper and the Ants - 1934 Disney Studios The piece measures 12" x 6".
The paper has assumed a darker tone with age, which is not uncommon for production material of this kind. As visible in the web image, there are two small circular areas of a lighter tone in the upper right and left corners, which could be easily matted out. There is evidence of multiple pinholes in the upper right and left corners, and one pinhole in the lower right corner, which could all be easily matted out. There is a 6" inch crease running vertically through the paper, just to the left of the cherries. There is some slight tearing of about 1" inch at the upper edge where the crease originates. There is evidence of some slight handling and creasing throughout the piece. There are a few tiny tears along the lower and left edges. There is a 1/2" inch tear along the right edge, which could be easily matted out. There is some mild creasing of about 1.50" inches in the upper right corner, which could also be easily matted out. The paper has become delicate and we recommend framing so as to store the piece in the best way.
