There is paint cracking and lifting throughout the character Tom and as visible in the web image, paint separation with some paint loss has occurred on the face, lower torso, leg, tail of this character. There is very slight lifting in the character Spike’s torso, right arm and hand with very miniscule specks of paint loss in his nose and right cheek and in the red of the hammer. There are very miniscule specks of line wear on Spike’s head and in Tom’s left ear, face, and feet.

The aperture measures 8.75" x 11.5" while the matte measures 14.0" x 16.0".
The original production background is circa 1950s.
The text along the lower edge of the matte reads " An original from the M.G.M. cartoon ' Two Little Indians' starring 'Tom and Jerry'."
The text at the lower right corner of the matte is signed " Tom and Jerry" and reads "To Jan: Our Sweet Little Girl Friend."
As visible in the web image, there is significant cracking of the paint throughout both characters with very little lifting and no paint loss.

The inscription on the matte reads: "To our friend Stephen - from Tom and Jerry and Joe Barbera."
Matting was done prior to its arrival at WWA thus the list price is reflective of the art only--the piece comes with the matte pictured. There is no change in price due to the matte--it can be de-matted upon request at purchase but will not change the price of the piece.
Each of the three characters have been trimmed and applied to the cel.
There are a few small areas of paint separation along portions of Tom's lower body and Jerry's ear. They are only really visible upon close examination.
