Australian artist, Rob Corless’ artwork is influenced by many styles from graphic design to street art, from comics to fine art. Often using themes based on his observations of beauty and irony in everyday life mixed with a fantasy element and nonsensical humour. Rob emerged from the Brisbane music scene of the late Nineties, where he played bass guitar in several bands and created band posters. Having regular artwork published in Tsunami Magazine led to a freelance career in illustration and design. Rob has much of his work shown locally in exhibitions and publications around Brisbane. Rob currently is working on a graphic novel and spends his free time with his wife and four sons, and somehow finding time to create art.
