Rey endeavors to achieve 'simplicity' in his work, from concept to the execution. Basic materials are used to convey feelings that hopefully everyone can understand. Recently his art has explored natural landscapes dotted with ruins both ancient and modern. These scenes, often populated with fantastic characters, are meant express a feeling of both grand adventure and solemn reflection.
