This original comic strip is from a 1956 Alley Oop comic, illustrated by its original creator, V.T. Hamlin. Alley Oop was originally created in 1932 and was a satire of American suburban life set in prehistoric times.
21" x 7" As pinning up comic strips for evaluation was often part of the creative process, this is fairly common for this type of work. The paper has had a tinge of color change around the outer edges only.

In this strip, Goofy exclaims: "I just spent thuh money I've been savin' for a rainy day!" to which Mickey asks: "What did you spend it on?" And Goofy answers in the third frame "This Umbrella!". Mickey has a great expression on his face in this third frame!
This piece measures 6.75" x 21".

As visible in the image, each character has a film of dots which has yellowed with time.
