Character drawing of a man This wild and widely smiling man was used in the making of the scenery used in the now famous Sony Metreon Building in San Francisco, California. The fourth floor of the building is filled with a display created by Sendak from floor-to-ceiling, bringing to life Sendak's famous award winning children's book "Where the Wild Things Are". The drawing measures 8.5" x 6.5". As visible in the image, the extreme lower portion of this drawing has been folded over, .5" and running horizontally. This can easily be matted out. Also, there is the slightest evidence of tape residue along the upper edge, near each corner, which can easily be matted out as well. Signed by: Maurice Sendak

The fourth floor of the building is filled with a display created by Sendak from floor-to-ceiling, bringing to life Sendak's famous award winning children's book "Where the Wild Things Are". This drawing measures 8" x 12". As visible in the image, there is evidence of rippling along the lower portion of the drawing, as well as some slight discoloration in the paper where the ripples occur. There is also slight residue of tape along the extreme upper edge, 1"-2" from either corner.
