  Horton Hears a Who (1970)
Master set-up of Dr. Hoovey
Key master set-up, production cel with matching background accompanied by keyed, timed drawing with color model indications. Depicts seminal moment in the film when Dr. Whovy is desperate to make enough noise so that everyone can hear the Whos and know that they exist. Having been burnt by Hollywood in the past, Dr Seuss was wary of having his books turned into films. That was until he met with Chuck Jones and knew his works were safe in the masters hands. This amazing cel of Horton's first interactions with the Whos proves that Seuss was right to trust Jones.
