These happy Whos skate, climb and play as they celebrate the happy magic of Christmas in Whoville.
There are three production cels adhered by tape along the top and left side to a printed background.
There is evidence of medium line wear throughout the top cel; on the characters atop the stilts, the female character, the arrow, and the white circle to the right side. There is evidence of line wear in the character’s red legs on the second cel.

Both the reproduction cel and the matching drawing are signed by Chuck Jones.
There is adhesive residue along the bottom edge of the cel, which can be easily matted out. The drawing exhibits slight tonality difference around the character due to a previous matting. The drawing is taped to a blank paper along its bottom edge. The paper exhibits very slight evidence of handling, which is common for studio production material.

This is accompanied by a hand-painted, non-production background.
The cel has become very slightly wavy which is not uncommon for production material of this kind. There is evidence of some slight mottling and color bleeding in the purple Who's body, as well as in Cindy Lou's hair. There is evidence of some very slight linewear throughout the characters. There are strips of white tape along the upper and lower edges, securing the cels to the background, which could be easily matted out. There are a few hairline tears in the pegholes which could also be easily matted out. There are some tiny flecks of stray paint throughout.

The frame measures 34.75" x 18.25" inches while the apertures measure 12" x 9.50" inches each.
Both the cel and the drawing are signed by Chuck Jones.
There is evidence of some handling in the drawing, with two creases, one of 1.50" inches and the other 1/2" inch, to the left of the character. There is some very slight crinkling in the paper along the edges, which is not uncommon for production material of this kind. In the cel, there is a tiny 1/4" inch hairline crack in the paint in the Grinch's right thigh, with a small amount of mottling in the same area. There is evidence of some slight linewear throughout, namely in the Grinch's face and hands.

It appears that this background was comprised of cut-paper which was adhered to the background board by adhesive. As visible in the image, portions of the background remain.

There are slight smudges of unknown white residue on the right side and along the right edge; this can be easily matted out. The cel is slightly curled which is fairly common for animation cels of this age. There is a fold of 1" across the upper right corner with a miniscule tear of 0.25" which can be easily matted out. There is very slight line wear throughout.

There is a small black smudge in the eyelashes of Cindy Lou's left eye. As visible in the web image, there is a slight tonality difference around the character in the drawing, which could be matted out. There are also a few tiny tears in the leftmost peghole, as well as some strips of tape peeking out over the upper edge, which could both be easily matted out. There is evidence of some handling along the left side of the drawing. There is evidence of some very slight pink paint residue in the drawing.
