Out of the Ocean Deep
Oil on masonite Mostly renowned for his backgrounds Earle created for Disney feature films like Sleeping Beauty and Lady and the Tramp, Earle had a career spanning nearly 70 years. He first exhibited his artwork in France when he was just 14 and went on to have his paintings and artwork collected and revered throughout the world. In 1996, Earle wrote: "For 70 years I've painted paintings, and I'm constantly and everlastingly overwhelmed at the stupendous infinity of creation...Art is the search for truth."
The majority of Earle’s original artworks focus on the landscape of California, predominantly the central coast.
