Master set-up of the Queen of Hearts and the King of Hearts The White Rabbit raises a pointed paw as he makes a royal declaration as the King and Queen of Hearts proudly look on. This is a fun master set-up of all three characters caught in iconic poses. The Queen looks regal and smug, The King looks proud but the tiniest bit sheepish and the White Rabbit has the air of official efficiency. The master background may look simple at first glance, however, upon close examination, you can see the elaborate pencil work that details the grey section above the horizon. Each character is on its own cel. There is evidence of slight line wear in the rabbits trumpet. The cel of the king is slightly trimmed and measures 12.5" wide. The size of this piece is 16 Field (13"x16") and the character size is 6" h x 4" w. (unframed). WDM988 |

Production background of a castle This piece measures 12" x 15.5". Sweeping in medieval grandeur, this is a supreme example of the Disney background painter’s skill. The castle is lit in intimate detail against the night’s sky, leaving everything else in despondent shadows. As background paintings go through several stages in the course of production, this exact image did not make the final cut. The reverse side is stamped as "Property of Walt Disney Productions," and references the precise film, sequence, and scene numbers for production. There is slight wear around the extreme upper edges as well as the lower left-hand corner. The character size is 3" h x 2.5" w. (unframed). WDAKM9 |

Key master set-up of Girl Cookie The Cookie Queen’s first decree is to save the Hobo Cookie and crown him her king! She leans forward in her frosting frock and points her pretty finger his way effectively stopping the cookie guards from escorting him off. This key master set-up is a stunning piece of Disney animation history. The Cookie Queen has the large lashed eyes and delicate features that we have come to know and recognize in future Disney heroines. Cel has become slightly wavy which is fairly common for vintage animation cels. The light reflection is visible in the web image only and is not on the actual piece. The cels have been stapled to the background in each corner. Two of the pegholes have been cut away and there are pencil production marks along the extreme lower edge which state: "Use the peg holes" and there are circles drawn in pencil around them, all of which can easily be matted out. The chair is cut out and affixed to the background. There is evidence of pin holes along extreme upper center of the cels and background, which can easily be matted out as well. The size of this piece is 12 Field (11"x13") and the character size is 7.5" h x 10" w. (unframed). WDMCS7 |

Master set-up of some cookies Gingerbread men parade goers get a great seat for the Cookie Carnival. This master set-up sets the scene for the entire story. The participants of the cookie parade all must make their entrance through the filigreed Arch of Beauty This set-up is a marvelous example of the depth and perspective found in master backgrounds. The viewer must look through the stone arch in the foreground to see the grandeur and excitement beyond the Arch of Beauty! This background appears in the opening scene of the film while the parade marches in. The cookies in the cel do not appear in the film. Cel has become slightly wavy which is fairly common for vintage animation cels. The light reflection is visible in the web image only and is not on the actual piece. There is evidence of paint loss in the two cookies furthest to the left as well as the three cookies on the right hand side. The background consists of two layers, which are held together by staples along the top edge, which can easily be matted out. The size of this piece is 12 Field (11"x13") and the character size is 3.5" h x 11" w. (unframed). WDMCS8 |

|
Master background This piece measures 11" x 31". This beautiful panoramic master background depicts the cobblestone lined streets of the quaint Italian town of Pinocchio’s happier days. Painted in earthy warm orange and brown tones, the piece is sure to take the viewer back into the simple world of a puppet boy and his loving creator. The film's directors created these fantastically long backgrounds in which a character could be animated on the move. This background is yet another example of the lost art of animation, in which so many painstaking hours were spent on these beautiful large paintings in order to capture the intrinsic mood of each masterpiece film. The background appears at 28:25 in the film. This piece shows the slightest evidence of handling along the extreme left corner, which can easily be matted out. The size of this piece is Pan (unframed). WDMPP11 |
