The viewer must look through the stone arch in the foreground to see the grandeur and excitement beyond the Arch of Beauty! This background appears in the opening scene of the film while the parade marches in. The cookies in the cel do not appear in the film. Cel has become slightly wavy which is fairly common for vintage animation cels. The light reflection is only visible in the web image only and is not on the actual piece. Key master set-up of Girl Cookie The Cookie Queen’s first decree is to save the Hobo Cookie and crown him her king! She leans forward in her frosting frock and points her pretty finger his way effectively stopping the cookie guards from escorting him off. This key master set-up is a stunning piece of Disney animation history. The Cookie Queen has the large lashed eyes and delicate features that we have come to know and recognize in future Disney heroines. Cel has become slightly wavy which is fairly common for vintage animation cels. The light reflection is only visible in the web image only and is not on the actual piece. The cels have been stapled to the background in each corner. Two of the pegholes have been cut away and there are pencil production marks along the extreme lower edge which state: "Use the peg holes" and there are circles drawn in pencil around them, all of which can easily be matted out. Medusa reclines on the tatty couch as she prepares to pounce on Mr. Snoops for letting Penny escape. Bernard and Bianca look on from the shadows of low table. Every character in this set-up is caught displaying the personality that they portray throughout the film. The crocodiles patiently wait to do their master’s biding, Medusa lazily sneers, Mr. Snoops cringes at Medusa’s scolding, and the story’s heroes bravely watch as they hear Medusa’s plan for the first time. Production cel and production background of Mickey Mouse The cel is from Traffic Troubles, while the background is from the Walt Disney film "Duck Hunt" from 1932. This is an incredibly rare example of the early Disney animation. In Traffic Troubles Mickey not so successfully tries his hand at driving a taxi. In this cel set-up we see Mickey and his dilapidated car trying to navigate the road. It is clear from this piece that the animators were not afraid of using a site gag or two to tantalize the audience.
