Babes In The Woods
a witch animation Model Drawing
Available on Layaway Babes In The Woods (1932)
Model drawing of a witch
This model drawing was used in the production of the 1932 Silly Symphony "Babes in the Woods." This was only the fifth cartoon to be released in color. The film was a loose adaptation of Hansel and Gretel, starring two hapless little Dutch children and one evil witch. Since the elves look so much like dwarves and the antagonist is a bent over old witch, it has been suggested that this short was a testing ground for some of the elements used in Disney's classic "Snow White."
The size of this piece is 12 Field (11"x13")
US$ 5700 (unframed).

  Babes In The Woods (1932)
Production drawing of a witch and Hansel and Gretel
A divine image of this early animated classic, each child is blissful and unsuspecting of the things to come.
A beautiful piece!
There is a tear on the left hand side towards the top which measures .5" and is only visible upon close inspection. Toward the lower left corner along the bottom of the drawing, there is an area of 1/8" x 1/2" where the paper has been removed. It is very miniscule and can be easily matted out.
The size of this piece is 12 Field (11"x13") and the character size is 4.25" h x 9" w.
US$ 525 (unframed).

Plane Crazy
Mickey Mouse animation Production Drawing
  Plane Crazy (1928)
Production drawing of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse
This wonderful rare drawing illustrates Mickey, his sweetheart Minnie, and the plane from what some consider to be the "first" Mickey Mouse cartoon ever made. Production art from this short calls to mind a significant change taking place in the history of animation as behind a locked door, Ub Iwerks did the animation secretly while pretending to work on the last of the Oswald cartoons.
Slightly more than normal handling with some wrinkling of the paper evident. There are some tiny tears and slight discoloration around the edges of the paper which is easily matted out.

The size of this piece is 12 Field (11"x13")
US$ 4950 (unframed).

The Beach Party
Mickey Mouse animation Production Drawing
  The Beach Party (1931)
Production drawing of Mickey Mouse and Clarabelle Cow
This production drawing comes from the 1931 Disney Short “Beach Party,” and features everyone’s favorite mouse Mickey playing a steel guitar and his best girl Minnie playing a ukulele while their good friend Clarabelle dances a little hula. This is a great illustration of Clarabelle, who is rarely seen, and has a great deal of animator’s notes written in the bottom right corner. The text says: "Suggestion for musical number - Minnie with Uke - Mickey with Steel Hawaiian Guitar - Clarabelle does a hula -"
Price is reflective of the art only--the piece comes with the frame pictured. There is no change in price due to the frame--it can be de-framed upon request at purchase, but it will not change the price of the piece.
The size of this piece is 12 Field (11"x13") and the character size is 7" h x 8.5" w.
US$ 2900 (framed).
