Her fierce fangs, spiky plumage, and leathery wings all work together to create a visually wicked creature. The paper measures 12.5" x 30". As seen in the image, there is a vertical fold down the center of the piece and a dark 0.25" x 0.5" spot in the character's right wing. There are three tears in the upper left edge of 0.5", 0.25", and 0.125" in length. In the history of the gallery we have not had a pan layout drawing like this one. The paper measures 12.5" x 30" while the drawing measures 9" x 25". The outline of Merryhwather can be seen on the left-hand side of the drawing. There is a crease of 1" in length across the upper right corner and 10.25" to the left of this corner is a 0.25" tear in the upper edge; these can all be easily matted out.
