Fantasia
(1940)
Production drawing of a pterodactyl This piece portrays the flying saurian in three drawings (likely extremes and/or breakdowns). Production notes can be seen along the lower wing of the creature. This is an excellent piece that shows the spacing (or perhaps the timing) of an animated pterodactyl from Fantasia. There is some darkening of the edges due to aging which can be matted out for display if desired. The size of this piece is 16 Field (13"x16") and the character size is 12" h x 8" w. US$ 375 (unframed). Add this piece to your collection for only US$75 a month. WDDMB315 |

Production drawing of a pterodactyl This piece depicts a sequence from "Rite of Spring" when the flying saurians are hunting the squid-like creature from above (can be seen approximately 54 minutes and 30 seconds into the film.) The upper right-hand side of the paper has a fair amount of creasing and there us a 2" long tear in the middle of the right-hand of the paper which is far away from the image. The size of this piece is 16 Field (13"x16") and the character size is 4" h x 8" w. US$ 395 (unframed). Add this piece to your collection for only US$79 a month. WDDMB176 |

Production drawing of Mickey Mouse This is probably one of the best looking Mickey sneak-walk drawings we have handled - note the circular lines used to define Mickey! This piece is part of a series of drawings used in a Mickey sneak-walk rough pencil-test animation for the "Sorcerer's Apprentice". This piece measures 10" by 12" and is in red and black pencils. There are very tiny creases on the top and bottom edges of the piece which can be easily hidden under proper matting. US$ 1600 (unframed). Add this piece to your collection for only US$320 a month. Storyboard of the Pegasus family This piece hails from the "Pastoral Symphony" section of the film. A beautiful storyboard the Mother Pegasus, her babies and some friendly cupids as they wait for the soft rain to stop so that they can go play. The rainbow in the piece really adds to the tranquil mood. The piece measures 6"H by 8"W. There is some darkening of the piece due to age, but otherwise this piece is in excellent condition. The character size is 2" h x 3.5" w. US$ 950 (unframed). Add this piece to your collection for only US$190 a month. WDA865 |

Fantasia
(1940)
Production drawing of Plesiosaurs This layout of a congregation of aquatic saurians is actually composed on the paper at an angle, whereas the paper itself is vertical (the peg holes can be seen on the left side of the piece). The scene can be traced to roughly 53 minutes and 15 seconds into the "Rite of Spring" sequence, when the long necked reptiles are seen feeding around the shoreline. This piece emphasizes the plesiosaurs on the background of the scene and some production notes interspersed throughout the paper. There is a notable 1/2-inch tear on the side opposite of the peg holes, and there are some small creases and darkening of the edges. There is also a 4.5-inch long tape strip running diagonally on the side of the peg holes (see the image) which fortunately does not cross over into the actual drawings of the dinosaurs. The size of this piece is 16 Field (13"x16") and the character size is 3.5" h x 8.5" w. US$ 395 (unframed). Add this piece to your collection for only US$79 a month. WDDMB309 |

Layout drawing of Pterodactyls Great color and notations, this piece plans out the flight paths of the flying saurians circling over the water. This is most likely from the wide shot (around 54 minutes and 30 seconds into the film) when these flying saurians are hovering above the lake in search of prey from the "Rite of Spring" section of the film. Some pencil smudging on the middle and lower right-hand side of the paper well away from the image. The size of this piece is 16 Field (13"x16") and the character size is 3" h x 15" w. Production drawing of a pterodactyl This drawing portrays four different key poses of a pterodactyl in flight from Fantasia; awe-inspiring! Storyboard of a baby pegasus An absolutely wonderful storyboard from the Pastoral Symphony section of Fantasia! This first movement opens with Sunrise on Mount Olympus--fauns and unicorns play happily amongst the lush countryside then the Pegasus family emerges. This particular piece depicts the moments during the scene where the baby Pegasus takes to flight. After several false starts he spins and twirls through the air with ease, and then they all fly through the clouds to the outer edges of the sky. Layout drawing of --- This appears to be the layout of the scene that appears during the middle of the "Rite of Spring" sequence. The lower left hand side, the shoreline, is where the fish that evolved into the turtle-like creature crawls onto the land, and the spire above the composition is the rookery from where the pterodactyls emerge and then soar through the sky and around the rocky mass toward the background. This piece has been rendered in blue and red pencils and most likely was used as an effects drawing. The imagery of this scene is so powerful that Moussorgsky's dramatic musical accompaniment nearly plays second fiddle. The piece exhibits slightly more than normal handling. Layout drawing of --- This fantastically rare multi-plane drawing has been created with two layers. The top drawing with depicts the grand entrance sign, "Model Home Open--Open For Destruction", has been trimmed to allow the background drawing to show through. Pinocchio

Storyboard of Pinocchio and Lampwick Lampwick eggs Pinocchio with a billiard cue to smoke, and judging by the sickly look on his face, poor Pinocchio is not enjoying this one bit! There are production notes on this page, such as Lampwick's line typed on top ("Come on. Come on. Be a man.") The viewing frame measures 6"H by 8"W, and this piece overall measures 10"H by 12"W. There are signs of handling along the edges, such as graphite smears and minute creases. There are also aged tape residue (the brown rectangles) on the top corners of the page. There are also dark spots on the upper right hand corner (likely due to moisture exposure). Most of these minor imperfections are far removed from the central image field and can be matted out for display if desired. The character size is 6" h x 8" w. US$ 3400 (unframed).
