Disneyland cel set-up of Maleficent and the Raven This cel of Maleficent and her raven Diablo is stunning!! Of all the characters in Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent is the one that people remember the most. Even her name, which combines the words "Malice" and "Malevolent", speaks to her pure evil nature. In her human form she is tall and slender and wears a black headdress and a striking cloak. Her expression is one of contempt and this is made evident by her thin, highly arched eyebrows, villainous purple eye shadow and piercing eyes. This evil fairy hates all things that are good and there is not better partner in crime for her than her wicked raven sidekick. This would be a wonderful piece for those who are collecting villains, or just love Sleeping Beauty. The piece does come in its original Disney Land Cel Set-Up matting with accompanying golden Disney seal on the back. Production cel of Maleficent and the Raven Perhaps the most troublesome pair in Disney history, Maleficent and Raven are the personification of evil. With her pale blue skin, arched eyebrows and yellow eyes, Maleficent manages to make even a smile seem sinister in this original production cel, which comes from a pivotal moment in the film, where Raven supplies the evil sorceress with some pertinent information about Briar Rose. A cel featuring these two devious ne’er do wells together is quite a find and would make an excellent compliment to anyone’s collection. There are some staple holes on the upper middle of the cel which are easily matted out. There has been a thin layer of clear sealant applied to the paint on the back of the cel which is barely noticeable and was done from time to time by the studio The size of this piece is 12 Field (11"x13") US$ 2950 (unframed). Disneyland cel set-up of Briar Rose and the Owl from Sleeping Beauty WOW! We were so excited when we saw this piece come in. This is one of the best Briar Rose cels that we've ever seen from one of the most famous, if not the most beloved scenes in the film. The "Once Upon a Dream" segment is quite sought after by the most prestigious of Sleeping Beauty collectors. This scene opens with the fairies trying their best to prepare for the girls 16th birthday. They want a "real birthday party" and a "real birthday cake". Meanwhile Briar is out for a walk and speaking to her forest friends about her dream of meeting a handsome stranger. She is convinced that she will meet him in person one day and marry him. While this is going on the prince hears her song and falls off of his horse into a stream. Shortly after he hangs his clothes on the tree to dry out, the forest animals find them and quickly use the cloak and boots to provide Briar with a dreamy dancing partner. Briar’s expression in this cel is absolutely priceless and there is no doubt that she is singing a beautiful love song. With her mouth slightly open and her eyes a little closed, dancing with her owl Prince, we, just like the price can hear her lovely song. The piece does come in its original Disney Land Cel Set-Up matting with accompanying golden Disney seal on the back. The art opening is 10" x 8".
