The Rescuers
(1977)
Production cel of Bernard and Bianca “The Rescuers,” a heartwarming tale of two mice coming to the rescue of a kidnapped little girl, proved to be an important film in Disney history. It was a much needed success for Disney and revitalized the waning interest in animated features that had dominated the seventies. It was also a return to story driven dramas, which Disney had moved away from in the late sixties. It has been said that “The Rescuers” gave Disney back its “heart,” and in this production cel it is easy to see why. This adorable cel of Bianca and Bernard on a dragonfly propelled boat shows Disney’s return to warm, amiable characters that the audience could truly get behind. There is a staple in the extreme left hand corner The size of this piece is 16 Field (13"x16") US$ 795 (unframed).
