Pinocchio
(1940)
Courvoisier cel of Jiminy Cricket Jiminy Cricket dances the not so high wire of the violin’s strings as he teaches Pinocchio to always let his conscience be his guide. Luckily for Pinocchio he has a Jiminy for a conscience. This is an extremely well crafted Courvoisier background. The artist paid special attention to the detail of the light on the violin and the shadow on the wall. This piece is definitely worth “a little whistle.” The artwork measures 6.5" x 8.5" while the frame measures 14.5" x 15.5". Cel has become slightly wavy which is fairly common for vintage animation cels. The light reflection is only visible in the web image only and is not on the actual piece. The character size is 4.75" h x 3.25" w. US$ 2600 (framed). Add this piece to your collection for only US$520 a month.

Pinocchio
(1940)
Courvoisier cel of Figaro and Cleo the goldfish This piece is incredibly adorable, from his tiny little claws in each paw, the way he is up on his hind legs, his open eyes and slightly open mouth to Cleo who is blowing him a kiss. The colors in each full figured character are extraordinarily beautiful, while each character is very nicely sized as well. This piece is truly a magnificent joy to behold. This piece measures 7.5" h x 9" w. Framing was done prior to its arrival at WWA thus the list price is reflective of the art only--the piece comes with the frame pictured. There is no change in price due to the frame--it can be de-framed upon request at purchase but will not change the price of the piece. Cel has become slightly wavy which is not uncommon for vintage animation cels. The light reflection is only visible in the web image only and is not on the actual piece. The character size is 6.5" h x 7.25" w. US$ 4400 (framed). Add this piece to your collection for only US$880 a month.

Pinocchio
(1940)
Production cel of --- It is our estimation that this cel was used as a color model or an early concept and did not appear in the actual film though it is on an animation cel. The cel measures 8.25" x 8.75" while the image area measures approximately 5.5" x 6". As visible in the image, there is slight paint loss along the wheel, the bottom of the green bucket, the bottom of the chimney, the edge of the roof, the lower rear portion of the wagon and the contraption holding the barrel onto the side. There is also tape residue on each corner, which can easily be matted out. US$ 550 (unframed). Add this piece to your collection for only US$110 a month.

Pinocchio
(1940)
Color model cel of Jiminy Cricket Here we see Jiminy Cricket in the garb of his modest beginnings just as he is turning in for the night. Before he was given the task of being Pinocchio’s consciousness he was but a poor cricket in search of a warm place to spend the evening. The cel is stapled to a backing paper along the left and right sides with two staples .75" from each edge, which can easily be matted out. The size of this piece is 12 Field (11"x13") and the character size is 3.5" h x 2.25" w. US$ 1500 (unframed). Add this piece to your collection for only US$300 a month.

Pinocchio
(1940)
Courvoisier cel of Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket One of the most charming Courvoisiers we've seen depicting Pinocchio facing his conscience, Jiminy Cricket, as they turn toward each other with mirrored expression. This is a moment in the scene where Pinocchio leans over to listen to Jiminy's advice. Courvoisier background has beautiful tones airbrushed in hues of pink and green. This piece is definitely among the gallery owner's favorites. Framing was done prior to its arrival at WWA thus the list price is reflective of the art only--the piece comes with the frame pictured. There is no change in price due to the frame--it can be de-framed upon request at purchase but will not change the price of the piece. The entire framed piece measures 17.5" by 19". The white spots in the images are the result of the scanning process.
There is some paint separation in the yellow of Jiminy's hat and in his tie, suit and arm. You have to look really, really closely to notice it. Some glue residue from the cels is slightly noticeable on the left of the flower, and in some areas of the edges of the characters. Pinocchio's feather has split and is attached to the background by Courvoisier.
Overall, this piece is in very good condition for its age and the imperfections are not too noticeable- we just want to be very thorough in our descriptions. The character size is 5.5" h x 8" w. US$ 8500 (framed). Add this piece to your collection for only US$1700 a month.

Pinocchio
(1940)
Courvoisier cel of Pinocchio and Figaro This scene appears in Geppetto's workshop during the song "Little Wooden Head" just after he is named Pinocchio and introduced to Figaro and Cleo. Geppetto has just said, "Say Hello to Figaro" who was at first put off by this new person in the workshop, but appears to be enjoying a good petting. This appears at 8:37 into the film and shows Figaro as a well-contented, cute kitten and Pinocchio as a happy, wooden marionette, with a wonderful smile and bright, shining blue eyes. The artwork measures 6.25" x 7.25" while the matte measures 13" x 13". Cel has become slightly wavy which is fairly common for vintage animation cels.
