Disneyland cel set-up of Mowgli and Baloo
This piece is a heartwarming depiction of these two friends. Both are nicely full figured and the drama of the scene is excellently preserved here in their facial expressions and the way each holds themselves with their feet and hands.
This piece measures 10" x 12".
There are two small staples along the center top edge of the piece, .25" from the edge and slight tearing has occurred in the top cel of Mowgli extending from each staple, all of which can easily be matted out. There is a tear of 1.5" which extends from the right staple toward the left.
As seen in the image, some paint separation has occurred but in small remote areas of the cel only and we do not recommend restoration. A small amount of paint from the cel has adhered to the background.
The cel has been trimmed of its peg holes along the bottom edge.
The size of the image is 6.5" h x 9.75" w.

Key master set-up of Kaa
This magnificent scene appears at 11:52 in the movie. Just as Kaa has Bagheera hypnotized, Mowgli escapes from the coil and succeeds in throwing the bulk of it off of the lower limb, and the rest of him abruptly follows. This is a beautiful production background and a very nicely sized character to match.
Cel is slightly wavy which is not uncommon for animation cels of this age and also shows very slight line wear. The cel has been taped to the background and has a tear along the extreme upper edge, which measures 1.5" and corresponds with the piece of tape, which can easily be matted out.
The size of this piece is 16 Field (13"x16") and the size of the image is 5.75" h x 10" w.

Kaa slithers around Mowgli, trying to hypnotize him! Mowgli is careful to avoid Kaa's convincing stare!
This piece measures 10" x 12". The two characters are on separate cels, but the cels are stapled together and to a back paper. They are both trimmed to 10" x 12" and there are 4 staples in the corners that can be removed. There is a little paint separation in Mowgli's leg and in Kaa's nose and the very left-hand side of his mid-section.
The size of the image is 6.5" h x 10" w.

Mowgli, animated largely by Ollie Johnston, is such a lovable character primarily as he reminds us what it means to be a child in somewhat of a fantasy world. He confronts and plays at being an ape, an elephant, wolf, bear and a vulture, all the while trying to find his place in the jungle. When he meets Baloo, becoming a 'jungle bum' is precisely what Bagheera is afraid of, but it is worth the song "Bare Necessities," as it is one of the most light hearted and joyous musical numbers in animation history.
Here we have a gloriously wonderful scene of these two, both with adorable expressions on their faces while Mowgli climbs up his new friends big, lazy belly. There is true joy and comfort in this scene.
The size of the frame is 18.25" x 21.25".

Quite the quartet represented here in these hilarious foul fowls. A group to be reckoned with, and a fantastic piece which has all four in full characters.
Cel has become slightly wavy which is not uncommon for vintage animation cels. The slight light reflection is only visible in the web image only and is not on the actual piece.

Shere Khan, the villain of the film, has a wonderful expression that suggest that he doesn't think he would do anything wrong.

Framed, this piece measures 11" x 13" Cel appears to be stuck to the background in a few areas as is common with the Disneyland cel set-ups. There seems to be a tiny indentation spot in his left cheek.
