Disneyland cel set-up of Baloo Baloo proudly displays his shiner as Bagheera declares him a disreputable sight. This is a great full figure of Baloo that shows how expertly the Disney animators crafted their characters. The matte measures 15" x 16" while the aperture measures 8" x 9.75". Production cel of Shere Khan and Kaa This cel set-up is an exercise in contrasts. Shere Kahn’s fierce maw is spread wide as slippery Kaa seems to be hiding a slight smirk. The frame measures 14.75" x 17" while the aperture measures 7" x 9.75". Cel has become slightly wavy which is fairly common for animation cels of this age. There is evidence of cracking and lifting on Shere Khan’s nose, eyes and paw. There is some slight lifting throughout. Visible upon close inspection and halfway down the left side is evidence of a staple which has protruded slightly from under the mate. Disneyland cel set-up of Mowgli and a buzzard An adorable cel of an image that can only occur in the Jungle! The cel has tape affixed to the upper edge. There is a small area of missing cel material in the upper center along the edge which measures .5" x 1.5" which is typically where the small staples affixed cels to the Disneyland cel set-up backing. The extreme left edge and lower edge shows trim lines where the cel material was not completely trimmed which measures 1/16" of an inch. All of this is easily matted out. Production cel of King Louie An excellent example of this vivacious character, as voiced by Louis Prima. He lent a great deal of character in his voice and really brought this musical number "I wanna be like you" to the fore front with his jazz styling. He is beautifully rendered here with bright open eyes and mouth, along his long, swaying arms. The size of the cel is 8" x 10". There is a slight amount of celluloid loss along the center of the extreme right edge, which measures 1" h x .5" w. There is slight evidence of indentations around the extreme most edges of the cel, most likely due to staples or pins. All of this can easily be matted out. The character size is 4.5" h x 5.5" w. Production cel of Baloo and Kaa This cel set-up features a large Baloo with a worried look on his face and a grimacing Kaa. The matte measures 15.5" x 18" while the cels measure 10" x 12". The cels have been trimmed of their peg holes and appear to have a clear, embossed stamp on each cel in the lower left corner. It also appears that a significant portion of Baloo has had the paint restored, as there is evidence of paint adhered to the paper background but not from this cel. Production cel and production background of Mowgli and a baby elephant Mowgli has more than one mishap when he joins the ranks of the elephant dawn patrol. Here we see the mixed up man cub nose to nose with Baby Elephant in the morning drills. The matte measures 15.5" x 18". The characters have been trimmed and applied to a 12-F cel. The background appears to be a production background from an unknown Terrytoons Production and shows slight signs of wear, as well as slight tearing a paper loss in the extreme lower right corner, which is matted out.. Disneyland cel set-up of Mowgli and Kaa The hypnotism begins as Kaa works his magic on the innocent boy. Notice his eyes are in the early stages of being glossed over in this fabulous artwork. There are two small staples along the upper extreme edge of the cels and the backing board, which can easily be matted out. As visible in the image, some paint separation has occurred and we do not recommend restoration. The paint in sections of his arms, his left hand the lower end of Kaa as well as Mowgli's legs show signs of adhering to the background. There is a small indentation just to the left Mowgli's head.
