Courvoisier cel of Pegasus and Baby Pegasus Cuddled in their treetop nest, the mother Pegasus unfurls her majestic wing to comfort her little black foal. Fantasia
(1940)
Courvoisier cel of Mlle. Upanova Fantasia is full of memorable moments but none were quite as outlandishly humorous as the ballet section set against Ponchielli’s Dance of the Hours. It all begins with Mlle. Upanova, the prima donna ostrich who serves as the subject of this beautiful Courvoisier Cel. Mlle, with her less than elegant proportions, was used as an irreverent, yet affectionate, parody of the pretensions of classical ballet. Here she is seen up on her toes, wings out, dancing with all the grace and beauty that only an ostrich could possess. The absurdity of it is sure to bring a smile to the face of anyone who looks upon this piece. The size of the visible artwork measures 7.75" x 5" while the frame measures 12.5" x 9.5".
Very slight paint separation with no lifting and in excellent condition for vintage cels of its age. The character size is 7.25" h x 3.5" w. US$ 3200 (unframed). Add this piece to your collection for only US$640 a month.

Courvoisier cel of Mickey Mouse and a broom The artwork measures 8" x 9". As visible in the image, there is a small area just above the broom on the surface of the cel which appears to be residue of adhesive of some sort. There is slight paint mottling in Mickey's hat as well as the lower portion of the broom. As can be typical of some Courvoisier cels, there is adhesive residue along the edges of the cel material, which can easily be matted out. The character size is 3.25" h x 3.25" w. (unframed).

Production cel of Chernabog This is a multi-production cel set-up with an outstanding close up of Chernabog with the lost souls surrounding him.
It is not often that we see cels of Chernabog, in fact we have only ever seen 4. This is the best one we've ever seen. In terms of provenance, this outstanding piece comes from the Vladimir (Bill) Tytla Estate. This is an important, dramatic, stand-out piece. There is evidence of slight paint loss but we don't think it warrants restoration. The size of this piece is 12 Field (11"x13") (unframed).
