Warner Bros (c.1940s) Production cel and production background of Bugs Bunny The background is from "Feed the Kitty" which was released in 1952 and directed by Chuck Jones. We believe the cel to be from the 1940s judging by the appearance of the character as well as the pegholes. There is evidence of slight line wear in the character's ears, teeth and feet. There is evidence of seven pin holes in the cel; four along the upper edge spaced 3" apart, one 2" to the right of the character’s torso, one 2" from the left side and 1" above the lower edge, and one 0.5" above and 1" to the left of the right peg hole. There is evidence of multiple pin holes to the background at each corner which can be easily matted out. As pinning up work for evaluation was often part of the creative process, this is fairly common for this type of work.
