The Fox and the Hound (1981) Master set-up of Copper and Tod. "The Fox and The Hound" represented a changing of the guard in Disney studios from Disney's "nine old men" to a new batch of young animators, who had been rigorously trained. The film was heralded by some critics for its intelligent story about prejudice as well as its beautiful animation. There a staples holes in both the cels and the upper edge of the background all of which is barely noticeable and easily matted out. Upon close examination, there is slight evidence of small vertical lines of paint mottling throughout the characters
