Alice in Wonderland (1951) Master set-up of Alice, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. Alice looks on politely as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum begin to dance the story of The Walrus and the Carpenter or The Story of the Curious Oysters. This is a fantastic master set-up of Alice and two of animations most nonsensical characters. All three are full figures with wide eyes and expressive faces. The master background is a fantastic example of Mary Blair’s influence on color styling of the film. The background appears at 31:36. The cel of Alice appears flipped in the film, which was common in this feature. The frame measures 21" x 22". Price is reflective of the art only--the piece comes with the frame pictured. There is no change in price due to the frame--it can be de-framed upon request at purchase, but it will not change the price of the piece.
The characters have been trimmed and applied to the background.. Signed by Frank Thomas, Ollie Johnston and Bill Justice.
The size of this piece is 12 Field (11"x13") and the size of the image is 8.5" h x 11" w. US$ 4800 (framed) WDM978
