Self Control (1938)|
Master background of Donald Duck and a woodpecker.
This piece comes with a drawing of the title card text. The title card cel with "Self Control" is a presentation cel.
There is an approximately 1" inch round stain in Donald's leg and abdomen. There is evidence of some very slight paint cracking in Donald's legs, his abdomen, and in the woodpecker's feathers. The characters have been trimmed and applied to a cel. There are strips of white tape securing the background to the cels along the upper and right hand edges, as well as some strips of clear tape running along the pegholes of the cel, as well as along the bottom edge of the cel, which could be easily matted out. There are some stickers with production notes written on them in the lower left and right corners, which could be easily matted out. There is some black paint residue halfway along the left side which could also be easily matted out. The drawing shows evidence of handling and very small foxing marks throughout. There is a strip of masking tape along the upper edge of the drawing, which could be easily matted out. The edges of the drawing have become slightly worn and there is minor tearing along the edges, which could also be easily matted out.
