Truly the world’s first animated superstar, Mickey Mouse paved the way for all the animated greats we know today and those that are still to come. Mickey starred in well over 120 films and this wonderful production drawing comes from the early days of his storied career. From a 1930’s short, this drawing shows a full bodied Mickey playing music upon some bottles. Sporting his signature gloves, buttoned shorts, and oversized shoes this Mickey of yesteryear looks much like he does today. Perhaps that is proof that the young at heart never grow old.
