In this production drawing from the first animated feature ever made, the Wicked Witch is seen coddling the poison apple in her old, brittle hands. There are several notes written in red on the drawing, and the apple is colored in red as well. The Wicked Witch wears a look of surprise on her unsightly face, proving the wonderful range of subtle emotion the early animators were capable of, which is also seen in WDDPP524
