Steamboat Willie (1928) Production drawing of Mickey Mouse. An amazing and rare pair of drawings illustrating Disney's musical mouse as he made his debut in Steamboat Willie. Out of Mickey's first 20 cartoons, 8 carried the theme of music. Here we can seem him feverishly pulling out the bulls tongue in order for him to play his teeth like a xylophone. These two drawings would be an excellent addition to even the most sophisticated of animation art collections.
Both drawings exhibit slightly more than normal handling evidenced by some wrinkling of the paper and a soft crease on the lower left hand side of the drawing about 4" long. The drawing of the animal shows a bit of discoloration at the upper edge of the paper along with some small tears which can easily be matted out..
The size of this piece is 12 Field (11"x13") US$ 3900 (unframed) WDDPP445
