Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) Production drawing of The Evil Queen. The Queen/Witch is easily the most powerful character in Snow White. Here she is being portrayed as the cold hearted yet deceptively beautiful evil queen. When we see the queen, she is adorned with her brilliant crown, spectacular robe with high-winged collar, and a royal pendant. Her face is illustrated with thin pursed lips, wickedly arched eyebrows, and black eyes as black as her heart. She is so shallow and obsessed with her looks that she constantly asks the question to her magic mirror, "mirror, mirror, on the wall who is the fairest of them all". This production drawing which has shades of red and black pencil captures her role as the most perfect Disney villainess.
