Fantasia (1940) Production drawing of Plesiosaurs. This layout of a congregation of aquatic saurians is actually composed on the paper at an angle, whereas the paper itself is vertical (the peg holes can be seen on the left side of the piece). The scene can be traced to roughly 53 minutes and 15 seconds into the "Rite of Spring" sequence, when the long necked reptiles are seen feeding around the shoreline. This piece emphasizes the plesiosaurs on the background of the scene and some production notes interspersed throughout the paper. There is a notable 1/2-inch tear on the side opposite of the peg holes, and there are some small creases and darkening of the edges. There is also a 4.5-inch long tape strip running diagonally on the side of the peg holes (see the image) which fortunately does not cross over into the actual drawings of the dinosaurs..
The size of this piece is 16 Field (13"x16") and the size of the image is 3.5" h x 8.5" w. US$ 395 (unframed) WDDMB309
