Donald's Penguin (1939) Production drawing of Donald Duck. We believe that this scene was a preliminary rough where Donald opens the package from "Admiral Bird from the South Pole"; the piece of paper Donald is holding is the note that came with the package and he is in the same posture when he was opening the package with Tootsie inside the box. The number 4 can be seen in the lower right hand corner. The pencil is a little lighter than usual, so we had to up the contrast on the jpg image to show you the detail. The paper colour is consistent and does not show the gradations that "appear" in the digital image. There is a slight darkening of the edges due to age and there is a fold on the lower right hand corner. These can be matted out for display if so desired..
The size of this piece is 12 Field (11"x13") and the size of the image is 3.5" h x 3" w. US$ 95 (unframed) WDDMB215
