The Golden Touch (1935) Production drawing of Goldie. This drawing is attributed to Fred Moore drawing. This short was also the last film actually directed by Walt himself. Fred Moore primarily did the animation on Goldie, and it was essentially his "test"
character in consideration of his doing the dwarfs. Walt was discussing with him and a handful of other artists his thoughts for
doing a "Snow White" feature, which he was considering directing himself, but this convinced him of two things - one, Fred was
ready for leading the dwarfs (and designing them) and he (Walt) was no longer the right guy to direct. So work from this film is
a bit of a special find in many ways.
Piece exhibits more than normal handling. There is wear along the upper left edge and paper loss on the extreme right upper corner. There is a fold along the lower right corner..
