Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)|
Production drawing of Dopey.
The paper has had a tinge of color change around the outer edges which can be easily matted out. There is evidence of multiple pinholes halfway across the upper edge and one pinhole located 1.0" to the left of the character’s left hand. As pinning up work for evaluation was often part of the creative process, this is fairly common for this type of work. As visible in the web image, there is a small 0.125" x 0.125" spot of discoloration located 2.0" to the right of the character’s head. There is a crease starting 1.0" to the left of the upper right corner at the upper edge and ending 3.0" below at the right edge; this can be easily matted out. There are minor creases along the right edge which is common for studio-handled production material.
The size of this piece is 12 Field (11"x13") and the size of the image is 4" h x 5.5" w.
