Disney Studios (c. 1940s) Storyboard of Pluto and a man. The image is repeated on both sides of this truly unique storyboard and there are two storyboards included. Used as a means to direct the action of a story, these drawings are often created, critiqued, crumbled up and thrown away. Artists need to adapt to changing story ideas, and here we see just that. While Pluto was initially situated to the right side of the frame, the story changed and the paper flipped for a reverse image of the same scene – this time with Pluto to the left and in slightly more detail.
On each of the drawings, there is evidence of pin holes toward the extremes of the upper left and right hand corners as well as below the image which can be easily matted out. This is common for this type of production art..
The size of the image is 5.5" h x 7.25" w. US$ 750 (unframed) WDD43A
