Sleeping Beauty (1959) Production cel of Maleficent and the Raven. Perhaps the most troublesome pair in Disney history, Maleficent and Raven are the personification of evil. With her pale blue skin, arched eyebrows and yellow eyes, Maleficent manages to make even a smile seem sinister in this original production cel, which comes from a pivotal moment in the film, where Raven supplies the evil sorceress with some pertinent information about Briar Rose. A cel featuring these two devious ne’er do wells together is quite a find and would make an excellent compliment to anyone’s collection. There are some staple holes on the upper middle of the cel which are easily matted out. There has been a thin layer of clear sealant applied to the paint on the back of the cel which is barely noticeable and was done from time to time by the studio.
