The Ugly Duckling (1939) Courvoisier cel of Father Duck and Mother Duck. This is a joyous, colorful, and absolutely delightful piece of this warm and loving family. The mother is so proud of her new ducklings as she rests on her nest, while the proud, colorful father speaks and gestures magnificently. Each duckling has a sweet expression on their faces, each with open eyes. This piece measures 8" x 9.5". Cel has become slightly wavy which is not uncommon for vintage animation cels. The light reflection is only visible in the web image only and is not on the actual piece. There are a few small areas of paint separation. They are only really visible upon close examination. There is the slightest of glue residue from the cel which can be seen upon close inspection, as the cel has separated very slightly from the background. Still in great condition for a vintage cel and we do not recommend restoration unless to move the cel back into position. There is evidence of slight discoloration in the paint on the father's feet and on his chest.. The size of the image is 5.5" h x 7.5" w.
