Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) Production cel of Dopey. Most likely was a Courvoisier Cel at one point but has been reframed. The original Courvoisier matting was kept evident by the pencil inscription "Dopey" in the lower left of the matte. Also the Disney note typically attached to the back of a Courvoisier has been cut and placed in the front of the frame. The new matte is a fun and carefree window bordered with little tweeting birds similar to those in the film. It's a wonderful piece showing Dopey most likely from the diamond mining scene. Framing was done prior to its arrival at WWA thus the list price is reflective of the art only--the piece comes with the frame pictured. There is no change in price due to the frame--it can be de-framed upon request at purchase but will not change the price of the piece. There is some wrinkling and rippling throughout the cel which is most likely due to aging. There is also some slight discoloration and paint creasing on Dopey's cheek, upper shoulder, left ankle and right toe..
