Ferdinand the Bull (1938)|
Courvoisier cel of Ferdinand The Bull.
Sweet Ferdinandís eyes shine like heís just seen a big bouquet of daisies in this large Courvoisier set-up. The Courvoisier background is interestingly created to resemble the opening title cards.
The framed piece measures 19.25" x 17.0" with the aperture measuring 10.5" x 9.25".
Cel has become slightly wavy which is fairly common for vintage animation cels. The light reflection is only visible in the web image only and is not on the actual piece. As visible in the web image, there are spots and areas around the characterís mouth and nostril where the paint has darkened slightly. There is evidence of very slight lifting in the left horn and visible upon close examination are miniscule specks of line wear and paint loss in the right ear. There are some light brown specks of paint that has come loose and adhered in the darker brown areas of the characterís right horn. There is some minor glue residue from the cel which can be seen as the cel has separated slightly from the background.
The size of the image is 7" h x 6.25" w.
