Fantasia (1940) Production cel of Mickey Mouse and a magic broom. This is a composite cel of two different cels, the magic broom cel and the apprentice Mickey cel, which have been trimmed to their respective outlines and have been reapplied to a single cel backing. Apprentice Mickey actually appears 31 minutes and 17 seconds into the film, when he sneaks to the stairs to make sure that Sorcerer Yensid has left the room so he can sneak some play time with Yensid's magic hat! The broom, on the other hand, appears later, 32 minutes and 55 seconds in the film, hopping to fetch water from the fountain. The background included is a custom painted background specifically made to enhance the gestalt of this composite cel. Price is reflective of art only--the piece comes with the frame pictured. There is no change in price due to the frame--it can be deframed upon request at purchase but will not change the price of the piece. The measurement of the piece with the default framing and matting is 20"H by 22"W (the matte aperture measures about 7.5"H by 9.75"W.) There is just some slight curling of the cel and some very minor paint separation (such as on the top of the broom and parts of Mickey's robe) in addition to some aged glue residue along the outlines which are generally characteristic of classic cels from this era; these do not detract from the overall appeal of this marvelous piece..
