How To Ride A Horse (1941)|
Courvoisier cel of Goofy and Percy.
Inscription on back of the background reads, " Responding to the gentle undulation as if horse and rider were one."
Cel has become slightly wavy which is fairly common for vintage animation cels. The cel is affixed along the edges to the airbrushed background with masking tape. There is evidence of some slight lifting in the character Goofy’s pants and right sleeve with paint separation of 0.5" x 0.25" and paint loss of 0.25" x 0.125" at the shoulder. There is evidence of minor lifting and cracking with a speck a paint loss to the character Goofy’s torso. There is evidence of mottling and lifting throughout the character Percy with paint separation of 1.0" x 1.0" to the character’s upper neck. There is some slight cracking with lifting in the character Percy’s nose and chin. There is evidence of line wear in Percy’s teeth and miniscule specks of line wear in the legs and torso. There is some glue residue from the cel which can be seen above Goofy’s hat and arm as the cel has separated slightly from the background.
The size of this piece is 16 Field (13"x16") and the size of the image is 8.25" h x 7.75" w.
