Ferdinand the Bull (1938)|
Production cel of Ferdinand The Bull.
The frame measures 16" x 19.5" while the aperture measures 7.75" x 10.75".
The cel has been trimmed and affixed to a hand painted watercolor background. Cel is slightly wavy which is fairly common for vintage animation cels. As visible in the image, there is glue residue near the character’s mouth and chest as the cel has separated slightly from the background. Also visible are areas of paint loss on the character’s chest and buttocks. There are also some specks of paint loss on and around the right eye and miniscule specks on the back hooves visible upon close examination. There are a few small areas of slight cracking and lifting.
Framing was done prior to its arrival at WWA thus the list price is reflective of the art only--the piece comes with the frame pictured. There is no change in price due to the frame--it can be de-framed upon request at purchase but will not change the price of the piece.
