Song of the South (1946) Production cel of Brer Bear. Brer Bear may be one of the more violent villains in all of Disney animation, but this is an awfully cute cel. Because of the controversy surrounding “Song of the South” any production art from the film is highly sought after. This would be a great addition to any serious Disney collection. The cel appears at roughly 48:41 in the film. The frame measures 20" x 21" while the aperture measures 11" x 12". The light reflection is only visible in the web image only and is not on the actual piece. The character appears to be trimmed and applied to a cel. There's a slight amount of paint mottling in his hand and nose, as well as slight line wear. Framing was done prior to its arrival at WWA thus the list price is reflective of the art only--the piece comes with the frame pictured. There is no change in price due to the frame--it can be de-framed upon request at purchase but will not change the price of the piece.
The size of the image is 6" h x 4" w.
