Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) Production cel of Sleepy, Bashful and Happy. This cel set-up is a testament to the animator’s ability to create great character from subtle differences. Sleepy’s eyes droop under the heavy lids. Happy’s bushy brows are raised in surprised thought and Bashful’s long lashes rim his bright eyes. These three appear at 34:02 in the film where the Dwarfs are discussing the monster that is sleeping in their beds.
The characters are trimmed and applied to a custom background. As visible in the image, there is a slight amount of paint mottling throughout the characters, as well as a slight amount of paint cracking and fading.
The size of the image is 5.75" h x 4.75" w.
