Disneyland cel set-up of The Mad Hatter.
Cel is slightly wavy which is fairly common for animation cels of this age. The cel has been trimmed of its peg holes and stapled to the background and backing board with two staples halfway across the upper edge. Paint from the cel has adhered to the background and as visible in the web image, some paint separation has occurred in the face, sleeves, and legs with a 0.5" x 0.25" area of paint loss at the lower right edge of the coat. There is black, powdery residue that has adhered to the back of the cel and there are dark smudges in the character’s hat and hair. Faint smudges of greenish yellow paint is visible on the left side of the character’s hair and cheek. Some specks of line wear from the bottom cel have adhered to the back of the clear top cel.
