The Ugly Duckling (1939)|
Courvoisier cel of The Ugly Duckling.
This piece measures 7.25" x 8.75".
Everyone is familiar with the inspiring tale of self acceptance told in "The Ugly Duckling." Disney actually made two versions of this story, but this Courvoisier Cel of the lead character, hails from the 1939 version. This is a great full body image of the duckling, ugly or otherwise, and shows him pensively scratching head while looking into the water. He may feel ugly now but eventually he will find acceptance, and most importantly will learn to love himself, and he serves as an important reminder to us to do the same.
Cel has become slightly wavy which is fairly common for vintage animation cels. The light reflection is visible in the web image only and is not on the actual piece. There is some slight paint separation with no lifting in areas such as his right wing, forehead, belly, legs and feet.
The size of the image is 2.25" h x 2.5" w.
