Pinocchio (1940) Courvoisier cel of Jiminy Cricket. Jiminy Cricket dances the not so high wire of the violin’s strings as he teaches Pinocchio to always let his conscience be his guide. Luckily for Pinocchio he has a Jiminy for a conscience. This is an extremely well crafted Courvoisier background. The artist paid special attention to the detail of the light on the violin and the shadow on the wall. This piece is definitely worth “a little whistle.” The artwork measures 6.5" x 8.5" while the frame measures 14.5" x 15.5".
Cel has become slightly wavy which is fairly common for vintage animation cels. The light reflection is visible in the web image only and is not on the actual piece. Framing was done prior to its arrival at WWA thus the list price is reflective of the art only--the piece comes with the frame pictured. There is no change in price due to the frame--it can be de-framed upon request at purchase but will not change the price of the piece.
The size of the image is 4.75" h x 3.25" w.
