Fantasia (1940) Concept piece of Tyrannosaurus Rex. It was important, during "Fantasia's" Rite of Spring Section, that the Tyrannosaurus Rex be as vicious and menacing as possible. The character design fell into James Bodrero’s hands and he did an amazing job creating this breathtaking King of the Dinosaurs. With intimidating eyes and a powerful form, the animated version of T Rex followed very closely to Bodrero’s original design. Based on the strength of his work on Fantasia, Bodrero was entrusted with the character design of one of Disney’s most well known protagonists, Dumbo.
